PVC Cup-Inter School Futsal Tournament 2023 Inaugurated at DPS MIHAN

The opening ceremony of the PVC Cup-Inter School Futsal Tournament was held at DPS MIHAN on 26th August 2023. The event was a grand success, and it served as a platform to promote sportsmanship and physical fitness amongst the students. The opening ceremony commenced at 9 am in the school's vast sports ground, which had been transformed into a vibrant and energetic atmosphere for the exciting tournament. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including school administrators, faculty members and students who showed great enthusiasm and support throughout the ceremony. 40 teams comprising of students from age group under 14 and under 17 are participating in the prestigious event. The welcome address was rendered by the school Principal who wished the event would foster sportsmanship and healthy competition amongst the players.

Mr. Mohd. Mubin, Deputy Secretary General of Nagpur District Football Association (NDFA) and U-17 International Coach graced the occasion. In his address he emphasized the importance of sports in nurturing discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. He added that proper diet and water intake is must for a sports person. The chief guest's presence greatly motivated the participants, and his words resonated with the entire audience. To mark the formal inauguration, our guest of Honour Ms. Tulika Kedia PVC & President of DPS Mihan and Kamptee Road expressed her pride in the student's achievements and emphasized the significance of sports in holistic development. She commended the efforts of the Principal & the Sports faculty of DPS MIHAN as well as the participating schools for promoting the sports culture amongst the students and declared the tournament open.

The opening ceremony of the Futsal Tournament had a showcased a melodious rendition by the school choir and an energetic karate display by the school karatekas. The event was resounding success and brought together the school community, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness among the students. The support of the school administration, dedicated faculty members, and enthusiastic parents contributed significantly to the event's triumph. We look forward to witnessing the matches unfold and witnessing the exceptional skills and sportsmanship displayed by the participating teams throughout the tournament.

PETROCHEMICAL COMPLEX VIABLE IN NAGPUR SAYS EIL REPORT The much-awaited techno-economic feasibility study Report prepared by Engineers India Ltd. (EIL), was handed over to Dr. Vipin Sharma, IAS, CEO - MIDC in Mumbai recently. The handing over was done by Vinayak Marathe, refinery and petrochimal expert in the presence of Varun Phuljhale (EIL), Anil Kumar (EIL), Dr. Vijay Rathod, IAS,Jt. CEO (V), and Upendra Tamore Dep. CEO – MIDC. A presentation was also made by EIL on the subject. Although this is an Interim Report, according to the Report, the petrochemical complex is viable in Nagpur with 8 options of various feedstock comprising naptha and ethane gases. The next step would be handing over the Report to Devendra Fadnavis, DCM and Minister Industries, Uday Samant, (GoM) who would seek investors for the project from among Public Sector Undertakings.
