Central Railway Nagpur division observing Swachhata Pakhwara 7th day as “Swach Karyalaya”.
Nagpur: On day 7th of Swachhta Pakhwada 2023, Nagpur Division of Central Railway embarked on a mission to promote cleanliness and awareness among passengers. With a resounding commitment to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the division organized a series of programs aimed at fostering a cleaner and greener railway environment.
On September 23, 2023, the Nagpur Division undertook a comprehensive "Swachh Karyalaya, Swachh Colonies & Parisar" drive, focusing on improving cleanliness across various railway facilities. This initiative marked a significant step towards ensuring a cleaner and more hygienic environment for passengers and railway staff.
To augment the aesthetic appeal of the railway premises, a noteworthy tree plantation endeavour was executed at various locations within the Central Railway network. This initiative aligns with Central Railway's commitment to creating eco-friendly, green spaces for the benefit of the community and the environment.
As part of the campaign, passengers were educated about the pivotal practice of segregation at source. Dry and wet dustbins were thoughtfully provided at Railway stations, with the intent of fostering responsible waste management habits amongst commuters. By actively participating in segregation efforts, passengers contribute directly to the broader goal of a cleaner, greener railway ecosystem.
