Nagpur : A Celebration of Words and Wisdom

Delhi Public School MIHAN, a beacon of educational excellence, recently hosted a spectacular Literary Odyssey- A Feast for the Mind that brought together renowned personalities, enthusiastic students, and literary aficionados from all around the city. The event, held on 12th September, was a celebration of literature, creativity, and the power of words. The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Aasawari Shenolikar, Deputy Editor The Hitavada, Guest of Honour Mr.Sachin Jahagirdar, Secretary, Vidharba Literature Club, Mr.Supantha Bhattacharya, Associate Professor, Hislop College, Ms. Shraboni Dasgupta, Retd HOD, Narayana Vidhyalayam who judged the events and shared their valuable insights and experiences with an eager audience in the panel discussion that was also held on the occasion. Prominent quiz masters of the Orange City Mr. Padmanabhan Pillai and Mr. Anirudh Moraka conducted a challenging and an interesting quiz that was based on Indian Writers in English.

The chief guest Ms. Aasawari Shenolikar and the guest of honour along with the judges appreciated the initiative taken by the school to develop an interest in literature amongst the students.

The Literature Fest featured a diverse range of activities and sessions for students, including Poetry in Motion, Promethean Slate, and Battle of Wits, as well as Moods and Expressions, an event conducted for the teachers. It aimed to nurture a love for literature and foster creativity amongst the students. Many reputed schools from the city participated in the event. They appreciated the efforts of the host school for organising such a unique and exceptional event which helped to expand the creative abilities of the participants. Winners in different categories were presented with certificates, books and trophies for their achievements. Narayana Vidyalayam, DPS Kamptee Road, Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar bagged the maximum awards. Participants of DPS MIHAN Nagpur also showcased their best performance in the various categories.

The Literary Odyssey was indeed a remarkable gathering of literary minds, inspiring all attendees to dive deeper into the world of books and creativity. It also featured a scintillating dance by the students and a melodious rendition by the school choir. As the event concluded, it left everyone looking forward to the next edition of this literary extravaganza.
